Task Templates (Customer Guide)

Task Templates let you define a reusable task once and apply it to many Jobs or Loads/Legs.

Template Fields

  • Template Name: Internal key (used for management/search).
  • Task Title: What users see on the Job/Load/Leg task list.
  • Description: Optional helper text.
  • Industry / App Type: Controls where the template is shown (e.g. trucking).
  • Applies To: Job, Load/Leg, or Both.
  • Category: Helps with grouping/filtering (pickup, delivery, documentation, etc.).
  • Sort Order: Default ordering when templates are applied outside a group.
  • Requirements:
    • Required task
    • Requires photo
    • Requires signature
    • Requires note
  • Active: If off, the template won’t be applied/used.

Creating a Template

  1. Go to Settings β†’ Task Templates β†’ Templates
  2. Click Create Task Template
  3. Fill in the fields (Template Name + Task Title are required)
  4. Save

Editing a Template (Important Notes)

  • Editing a template updates the template definition for future use.
  • Tasks that were already created from templates may not automatically change (depending on how that task was created and whether it snapshots template fields).
Tip for trucking operations

Keep Load/Leg templates driver-focused and action-oriented (photos, signatures, POD, checklists). Put dispatcher/back-office items on Job templates.
